Shale Baskin, founder and proprietor of Mark Shale died this week at 84. Mark Shale operated 13 stores around the midwest, Southeast and Southwest. After 2 bankruptcies and one ownership change, the company now only consists of three Chicagoland stores. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Chicago Sinai Congregation, 15 W. Delaware. [Tribune]
