May we introduce, the first of Edith Hart's new "Babes and Bagels" series which they plan to do once a month on a Sunday. Guests will enjoy bagels, champagne (woot!), personal styling and shopping, first look at new items, and make up tips and applications by Cheap Frills & Thrill's beauty expert, Shannon O'Brien.
But it's more than cheap frills and bagels, it's much more. We've all been victim to, or been the perpetrator of schoolyard bullying. Even nowadays as salaried, overall good-hearted eBay-generation businesswomen and businessmen, we may misstep and bully our friends, frenimies and people we don't even have to interact with. It doesn't have to happen. And organizations like the Kind Campaign, It Gets Better Project, Pacer Center, International Stand Up Day, The Humanity Project, I Am Somebody and so many more. So in addition to just hosting Babes & Bagels, Edith Hart will set aside 15% of proceeds that day which will go to the anti-bullying organization, Kind Campaign- an internationally recognized movement, documentary and school program based upon the powerful belief in KINDness that brings awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl "crime."
Edith Hart hosts the first Babes & Bagels event at the store on Damen just south of Armitage on Sunday, January 13, from 12 to 3PM.
