By this time next year, there's a chance that you could be buying a wedding dress...from Anthropologie. Chicago, along with Texas and Nashville, are the three locations on the short list that may get the irresistibly feminine store's first bridal shop. As one of three concept shops that will be opening across the country, the prospective wedding boutique is just the beginning of the company's new outlook, including Manhattan's standalone Leifsdottir shop and Chevy Chase, Maryland's accessories-only store, with fine jewelry, vintage goods and thoughtfully curated shoes. We'd be jealous, but picking through beautiful lace weddings gowns sounds like a lot more fun that sifting through used broaches from decades past. [WWD, subscription req'd]
