Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Water Tower Place may be stocked with stores, but the best place to shop this week will actually be directly behind it. Decadestwo.1, the pop-up consignment boutique that just displayed its gorgeous, exclusive goods in New York, has filled Chicago's Ritz Carlton with its curated collection of designer accessories and outfits from exclusive clients like Rachel Zoe that are now able to be snapped up for your personal closet, with just one little event RSVP.
The racks of clothing appear to be heavy on Chanel and Oscar De La Renta, but if you're not into either, don't fret — there are furs, coats, winterwear, and plenty of other brands available to keep you warm without looking like you're freezing your butt off all season long. Brand new jewelry from Mallory Eisenstein and a mini pop-up shop of Kiki de Montparnasse intimates will also be on site, but the shoes are where it's at. For any woman who has feet and wants them to be incredibly high off the ground, the wall of Louboutin shoes, array of Manolo Blahnik heels and wide range of designer footwear should suffice just fine. Everything at Decadestwo.1's boutique is sold at up to 80% off, so you can buy the pumps you missed out on four Springs ago, and still be able to splurge on an Oscar De La Renta cocktail dress.
The event goes on all day today until 8pm and tomorrow from 9am to 2pm, and items will be replenished during the two days. Decadestwo.1 is appointment-only, but you're in luck: the first thirty Racked Chicago readers to email chicago@racked.com will get RSVP'd entry to the event. Time slots are available for today and tomorrow, and are first come first served. Hit those inboxes, and if you can't make it, don't fret — the company's newly launched website should feed your gorgeous frock addiction from afar.
