For a store named after a certain type of flora, you might expect the items for sale to be as commonplace as pre-packaged grocery store bouquet. Wicker Park's latest, though, is a far cry from retail baby's breath.
As a former buyer and manager at several boutiques, including Madison's Bop and shopbop.com, owner Erica Cook has utilized her experience to curate an unexpected mix of items at her new boutique Trillium. Focusing on brands like Steven Alan, Cynthia Vincent, Joie and Vince, the shop carries sweaters, dresses and other goods that are versatile additions to a closet, but still make a statement.
Named after the trillium flower, Cook's Wicker Park boutique is similarly described as "fresh, elegant and a touch unexpected", and between thin, layered knits and lace up booties perfect for battling a pre-ice Chicago winter, we can spot their inspiration. With such chic wares, you'll feel that much more feminine while braving the sleet and the slush all over town, even if you're up to your ankles in grey puddles.
