The service provider monopoly is finally over! Early next year, Apple will release a new iPhone to be paired with and sold by Verizon Wireless. Marking the company's first departure from AT&T as the carrier of choice for the smart phone, we can't tell what's more exciting—getting an iPhone with better service, or that by that time, you'll be able to pick it up at the new Apple store in Lincoln Park.
