BUYER BEWARE

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If a deal seems way too good to be true, sometimes it probably is. Our sister site Racked National reports that UGGS—those ugly but oh-so-soft sheepskin booties from Down Under—are the most counterfeited luxury goods this year. Coach bags and Tiffany jewelry came in second and third on the list, respectively. So think twice before whipping out that credit card, especially if you're coming across sites that look like this with unbelievable prices. [RNA]
