Word on the internet is that Isaac Mizrahi will soon take over the Gap 1969 space at 939 North Rush Street. Crain's reports: "The space is the current home of 1969, a denim-only concept store by Gap Inc. that will leave at the end of January when its lease expires. Before 1969, the space was home to Jake, the local upscale boutique that filed for bankruptcy last year. Mr. Mizrahi’s spokeswoman did not immediately return a call seeking comment. However, Mr. Mizrahi, an avid Twitter user, posted on Dec. 5 that he was in Chicago preparing his new store, slated to open in April." [Crain's]
