LINCOLN PARK: Get ready for even more traffic in the already-busy North / Clybourn corridor. Smithfield Development has already begun construction on SoNo East, a new 324-unit apartment building, which is expected to open in 2012.

LOOP: Not to be outdone, the Loop will be getting some new apartment buildings of its own. Randolph Tower, the 45-story vintage high-rise with crumbling terra cotta is currently under construction, and just down the street developers have announced plans for a 39-story tower.

EVERYWHERE: In sub-zero temps, what could be better than splashing around in your very own indoor pool? This week, Curbed took a look at homes in the city and the suburbs with private indoor pools.

GOLD COAST: Buy a Berkus! Interior designer / TV personality Nate Berkus is selling his Gold Coast condo, which was the subject of a 2009 Elle Decor spread. The 3BD, 4BA home is listed for $2.65 million.
