Madewell Quietly Opens in Old Orchard; 15% on Denim; Hiring Staff!

Looking for the next Alexa Chung bolt of lightning to add to your wardrobe - Madewell has postponed the opening of the Chicago location from next spring until summer 2012. Bummer, right? Well if you just can't wait, on Tuesday of this week Madewell opened a medium-sized store in Old Orchard (if you feel like heading out that way). The store is a classic Madewell vintage inspired design and evokes the spirit of 1930s Boston. Beautiful wooden floors, Mason jars everywhere, aluminum tones and super soft white.

But wait! That's not all - This week Madewell is offering 15% off if you try on any pair of their famous denim selection. Plus, if you go in and love the store, you may just want to ask about working there. We're told because they opened so quietly, they're still fleshing out the sales staff and will be ramping up the team going into the holidays this year.
