Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

That's right folks, if were to give you a happy friday, what would they give you? Maybe free shipping? Maybe priority the next time they have a sale on an artist or designer you follow? Maybe a performance artist who is selling off some of his vintage taxidermy finds? Yes. David Mason Chlopecki of Slick It Up, mostly as a hobby searches estate sales and auctions for some of the most rare taxidermy known to the stateside interior decorator. Animals include the White Springbuck, Kudu, Gerenuk, Gazelle, Impala, Nyala, Gemsbok (pictured), and a Hyena. Sorry ladies, the unicorn isn't for sale.
