May We Introduce The First Ever Racked Awards

Welcome to the first-ever Racked Awards, a new annual celebration of our fair city's top retail experiences! Over the next few days, on each Racked site, Racked editors and readers alike will bestow honors upon all the people and places that make local shopping such a delight. Categories include Best Store, Best Windows, Best Sample Sale, and more.

Next Tuesday, October 25, after all the votes are tallied, we'll fete the winners with copious Racked coverage and golden turbans, to be presented at a gala event that evening at a glamorous Manhattan gala. (Why turbans? Because they're the most fashionable form of headgear, obvs. Check out Karl Lagerfeld's muse Baptiste Giabiconi in the Chanel 2012 resort show if you don't believe us.)
