K & S Boutique on Broadway never really got off the ground despite carrying some brands that filled a niche in Lakeview and occupying a modern, high trafficked storefront. Even having higher profile neighbors like Threadless and Johnny Sprockets couldn't bring the customers in. So why weren't shoppers responsive? Could it be that there are still snow flakes on their website from last winter? Could it be the clip art in their sporadic e-blast campaigns? We'll never know why they didn't make it. But we do know that as of today, everything in the store including brands like Kenzie, Hazel, Mavi and Desigual are 40%-80% off and they'll be vacating the space within two months.
