Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Recently, it was brought to our attention that some ex-Borders employees were writing large vengeful poster-sized goodbye notes to their now defunct former employer. The note we came across is titled "Things we never told you: Ode to a bookstore death" it highlights all the one-sided yet truthful pet peeves from their realizations in tenure at the Ann Arbor-based chain. Yes, we have several favorite bullet points in this list but the one we don't agree with is the one about Oprah.

Self loathing reflections on where the relationship went sour will most likely linger for years, but at least the deal was settled in bankruptcy court. We mean, as opposed to breaking up on a post-it note.
