Known for their history of neighborhood bouncing and carrying some of the freshest designers; local and beyond, Clever Alice boutique in Bucktown is celebrating 15 years in business. The party takes place next Thursday and we expect it'll be a wild one. Click through for the details on the sale and a bitty of a ditty on the historicals of Clever Alice.
Originally open on Clark street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, the garden level space quickly gained a loyal following from local women including musician (then popular) Liz Phair. Within 2 years the boutique had moved upstairs and expanded its stock of cutting-edge , hard-to-find designers.
In 2003 Clever Alice added a second location on the corner of Franklin and Chicago in the River North neighborhood. The only boutique in the heavy driven art community, Clever Alice found itself a new home and flourished. Not long after acquiring the RiNo location Clever Alice said goodbye to a 10 year run in Lincoln Park to devote itself to it’s new home.
Today, Clever Alice has been a fixture for 3 years on Damen in Bucktown. Clever Alice still believes in finding young ,small designers from the world over (most recently we sat next to them at Maison de LaCour's Spring 2012 show.
On Thursday, November 17th, Clever Alice will celebrate 15 years with party at the store, drinks, treats and a $200 gift certificate raffle. The sale will continue on through next weekend till Sunday, November 20th. Clever Alice will offer 15% off first item and 30% off your second item. 15% for 15 years open and 30% for 3 years in Bucktown.
