Cornelia Guest Like Hotcakes at Bloomies

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Even though Cornelia Guest’s new line of vegan handbags have been in Bloomingdale's since September, not many women have been shopping them - why? Well, because Bloomingdale's can't keep them in stock. Just days after the bags hit the floor the first time the company placed a reorder - now they're ordering spring for the Michigan Avenue location. The 22-piece line price point hovers around $220 and for spring will use colors like camel, dusty rose, butter, and sailor blue. With the second season she's introducing raffia and gold pyramid studs. No wonder the bags are a hit; they're vegan, reasonable price point, great colors and made by a philanthropist. [WWD]
