Haberdash EDC opened just in time for Black Friday and had one hell-of-a weekend. They told us business this past weekend had been great and expect it to only get better after their opening bash set for this Thursday.
Walking into the shop we're greeted by the bolstering scent of leather and a mix of redwood and cedar and all the scents of a gentleman's accessory closet.
Lining the banister shielding the staircase descendant to the stock room are umbrellas and winter scarves. Fancy shoes are in the front on the left and progress backward into the guts of the shop evolving into work footwear and into winter boots. Each section of shoe shelving is paced with easy outerwear and varsity jackets. Opposite the shoes are the product lines for shoe care, totes and leather accessories like card cases, wallets and belts.
Beyond the cash wrap there are apothecary items by brands like Baxter of California, Malin + Goetz, and Lafco. There's a really fantastic section of art and lifestyle books opposite a section of shelving specifically for the modern tech cruncher. In this section you'll find iPad cases, computer accouterments and a range of Rhodia notebooks and pens.
