Strong Black Friday Numbers

The Commerce Department reported Tuesday that retail sales for November were up 0.2% compared to October. Black Friday shoppers spent a record amount of money but analysts are unsure if holiday sales momentum will continue through Christmas. Typically, sales over Black Friday weekend comprise 10% of total holiday sales and as of last weekend 62% of holiday shoppers weren't done shopping. Electronics and appliance store sales increased and clothing sales were up by 0.5%. [Tribune]
