According to a report by WWD, suburban Hoffman Estates Sears Holdings Corp. said it expects to close between 100 to 120 Kmart and full-line Sears stores. No word yet on how many locations will be (if any) in Chicagoland.
According to a report to be released in late february, sales slid quite a bit in consumer electronics and apparel categories and lower layaway sales. Lou D'Ambrosio, Sears Holdings Corp. CEO says they're implementing a series of actions to better enable Sears and Kmart to focus investments on serving their customers .
