We saw a little multicolored action on Michigan Ave a few days ago and decided to investigate.
The Lego corporate team was recently in town for a look-see at the now vacant Kenneth Cole situated between the Shops at North Bridge (where Lego currently has a store) and the delicate menagerie of crystal animals formally known as Swarovski.
We've known that they are looking at remodeling the store, but now we know that they may also be moving the store to street level. Lego isn't giving out any info on the possible move or re-model of the Chicago location, but they say they're opening 3 other locations in nearby Cleveland, Indianapolis, and in Lone Tree, Colorado. The next Lego Store Club meeting is on March 19th. We plan to be there not only to participate in the build of a T-6 Jedi Shuttle, but also to ask if there are any developments on the potential of a new store.
