And now the latest from Curbed Chicago, covering everything you want to know about the city's neighborhoods.
HYDE PARK: Work is set to begin next month on the rehab and apartment conversion of the old Shoreland Hotel. Architect Jeanne Gang will oversee the restoration, which will include a commercial component (and possibly a restaurant).
RAVENSWOOD: Curbed dug up listings for two separate homes with basement tiki bars this week, including this Ravenswood getaway with "partial bamboo walls- real-cool."
WEST LOOP: Parking near Randolph and Halsted could get a little bit easier if a Michigan developer gets its way. Ojibway Development is planning a 16-story fully-automated robo-garage for 124 N. Halsted.
EDGEWATER: A developer has finally come forward with plans for the Edgewater Medical Center, which has been vacant for nearly a decade. Waveland Partners' plan call for demolishing the existing building and constructing 295 "luxury residences," 16 single-family homes and a pocket park.
