This spring, British clothing label L.K. Bennett is set to open in The Shops at 900 on North Michigan Avenue. L.K. Bennett is known for modern women's clothing with an emphasis on english tailoring, versatile shoes, and medium to high priced accessories. Hailing from from London, founding designer, Linda K. Bennett and her team have chosen Chicago as the first market to enter in the U.S.. L.K. Bennett can already be bought at Bloomingdale's stores in other cities like Philadelphia and Washington.
L.K. Bennett's spring / summer collections take inspiration from four ideal customers or as L.K. calls them, "ambassadors" who celebrate life on a daily basis, while juggling a demanding lifestyle yet want to look the best they can, therefore embodying the brand's 2011 campaign: 'Life is the Occasion'. Printed larger than life on the vinyl covering L.K. Bennett's third floor storefront is twenty-nine year-old Victoria Murdoch who works as a digital print textile designer in London. Victoria says "It is good to look smart and L.K. Bennett as a brand, is brilliant for helping me do that"
Victoria is wearing pieces from the Toscana Day Collection, specifically the Bow Suit trouser and jacket, the Catalia print scarf with a pair of the tan Sardinia high heeled Mary Janes from the Roma Day Collection.
