The lights, fashion and glamour returned to the Garfield Park Conservatory last Friday night as the Conservatory Association hosts the third annual Fleurotica fashion show, featured designers like Luz Cardenasmade and Suzanne Cummings. Designers fabricated compostable garments entirely of plants and flowers.
In addition to this unique runway adventure, many guests took part in an auction to benefit the Alliance while gettin' all tipsy on Veev Acai.

Participants included A Stem Above located near the West Loop, August Bloom, Bella Flora, Blumgarten, Flor Del Monte in Pilsen, Flower Child, Flower Petal, Ildiko Phillips, Luz Cardenas, Mila, Natural Beauties, Ronsley, Scarlet Petal, Sue Vanderhulst, Suzanne Cummings in Lincoln Park, and Whole Foods.

Although there were many species utilized for the designs the most exotic were probably Suzanne Cummings, known for her innovative arrangements and Bridgeport-based Agust Bloom who won 'Best in Show' with a red and white kimono design dedicated to the people of Japan.
