This long derelict parcel at 8-12 East Walton is finally undergoing demolition in preparation for retail development. What is replacing this formerly abandoned plot of valuable land in the Gold Coast across from the Elysian Hotel? Bhldn, the brand-new bridal collection owned by Urban Outfitters, Inc. This is one of the first brick-and-mortar locations for the wedding line, which won’t be offered at either Urban Outfitters or its quirky subsidiary Anthropologie. Price points range from $200 to $1600 for a party dress and between $600 to $4000 for a wedding gown. A select assortment of accessories will also be available, including vintage-inspired shoes and classic jewelry with a unique twist. - Amy Creyer
