This afternoon, a Racked Tipster let us know that Kooky, a children's shop plans to quietly open tomorrow morning on Michigan Avenue in the vacant Kenneth Cole space once rumored to be a Lego Store. We stopped by and found shelves stocked with miniature everything, stuffed animals, boxes of toys and racks of clothes. The windows, as of this afternoon, have no signage and look the same as they have for the past few months. It was unclear wether this is a permanent location or a pop-up.
Kooky has opened several pop up shops, one previously at 3447 North Southport Avenue and another on the Magnificent Mile within the Shops at North Bridge on the third floor which closed in December.
The shop carries lines like Pluto Tees, Juja Bear, Sweet Petunia, Tomoti, Soft & Sweet Baby, Telly Chicago and Tyler Poncho.
