Hairdo Mania Descends on McCormick Place This Weekend

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Don't be surprised if you see your Racked investigative reporters staking out the vestibules at O'Hare this weekend, trying to get a glimpse of beauty industry celebs hopping into the cabs headed to McCormick for America's Beauty Show. We all know there's nothing worse than plane hair or 'seat back head' -and we'll be watching you Tabatha Coffey, Ted Gibson, Takashi Kitamura, Ken Paves, and Anthony Mascolo.

Feel free to tag along with us on our papparazzi-ish jaunt to O'hare not only because normal people will not be allowed entrance to the show, but because a three day ticket is $165 and America's Beauty Show is open to licensed salon & spa professionals only.

If you are a licensed beauty professional, well, then, you're already one of the elite chosen ones and we'll see you at the Cadillac Palace Theater on Saturday because we're planning on sneaking into the Chicago premiere of Vidal Sassoon The Movie to snap your 'do.
