On May 13, Macy’s at Water Tower Place will unveil a brand new décor featuring “white ceramic floor, white walls, brighter lights, and touches of silver.” As part of the renovation, the department store will also refresh and reorganize the merchandise on the first three floors: expanded cosmetics selections featuring Benefit, Clarins, Urban Decay, and Laura Geller; larger retail space for handbags and leather goods; plus a floor dedicated to denim and shoes. The eight-level, 227,000-square-foot, ex-Marshall Field’s space hasn’t received a makeover since 1996. [Chicago Tribune]
