In a neighborhood known for a specific aesthetic and a strong community feeling, its difficult to watch when a store decides its time to close. Urbanest will soon be the most relevant casualty to the Sweedish strip of Clark just north of Foster.
The Andersonville furniture & accessories store once took space in a larger storefront a few doors north of its current location. Urbanest announced on Friday afternoon via their Facebook that the brick and mortar store is closing and the company will moving the business to an online store format within the next few weeks. Currently everything in the store is discounted at 20-40% except art work which consignment from local artists.
