This past weekend a handful of style hungry Chicagoans were treated to a special runway presentation of Zamrie's spring and fall lines by designer Ashley Zygmunt. Held in the Chicago Fashion Incubator space on the fifth floor in The 900 Shops, the enthusiastic crowd was pumped with even more energy due to the array of photogs and videographers documenting the event.
A Chicago native and Purdue graduate, Ashley has studied under Zac Posen and Peter Som gaining experience in the industry. In 2009, Ashley was one of six chosen designers of the Chicago Fashion Incubator. This past weekend she made her return as an accomplished alumni showing her work at the CFI 2011 space.
The runway was flooded with beautifully tailored garments among which was the Melissa Tunic, and the Gailey Tank, and the delicate Florence which all were constructed with alluring details. Models in Ashley's CFI 2011 show were a healthy mix of professional models and young professionals involved in Chicago's fashionable public realm.
