EVERYWHERE—Mia Francesca owner Scott Harris let us know he has plans to expand the restaurant chain nationwide. He's also opening a doughnut shop in Wicker Park. Good stuff.
WICKER PARK—Big Star is jumping into the food truck scene, but wants to wait until legislation is passed so they can cook on the truck and not just sell from the truck. Until then? Shaved ice.
WEST LOOP—Stephanie Izard was named chef of the year at the Time Out Chicago Eat Out Awards. Her restaurant, Girl & The Goat, nabbed the award for best new restaurant.
