Le Dress Deux opened its doors last Friday on the first floor at the Shops at North Bridge mall connected to Nordstrom. As the name may suggest, this store is le Dress' second location after the original on Division in Wicker Park. The store is about one thousand square feet and has started to carry many new and accessible brands. Store owners, Eva and Robyn Anderson say le Dress Deux carries the wide variety of styles, designers and price points that the original Wicker Park location is known for, but with a stronger focus on hard-to-find lines, Chicago designers and le Dress’ own private label dresses.
As soon as we walked into the brightly lit and colorful storefront we were greeted by a graphic gray toned Jay Godfrey dress with a neon yellow waistband. After that we saw Shoshanna, Yumi Kim and Tracy Reese next to a navy blue derby dress by Theme with a crochet neckline. On the table in the middle of the store jewelry by Smithe, Viv & Ingrid and Rach B. surrounded an Ivanka Trump handbag. Mixed in with le Dress' own very affordable line which starts at $56, were local lines Kristin Hassan and RÜCH.
