Bloomingdale’s has announced a new outlet location at Schaumburg’s Woodfield Village Green mall, slated to open right before the holiday season later this year. The roughly 25,000 square foot store will carry a wide range of apparel and accessories made specifically for the outlet—including women's ready-to-wear, men's, children's, women's shoes, fashion accessories, jewelry, handbags and intimate apparel. A miniscule amount of merchandise—about 20 percent—will consist of clearance inventory from full-price stores. Bloomingdale’s invaded the Chicago market in 1988 with the 900 North Michigan Avenue flagship, and has since expanded to a homegoods store in the old Medinah Temple at 600 N. Wabash Avenue, plus several suburban mall anchors. [Racked Inbox]
