The former Chicago Fashion Incubator Launch Shop storefront at The 900 Shops has officially been filled. CFI Management spent the
majority of the week packaging up the local Chicago designer's inventory
and clearing the space for the following businesses. Preggers, a maternity store is now advertising in the previous event space, while a Hawaiian themed store is in the making next door.
Successful events that took place included: Miriam Cecilia’s natured
inspired installation, Evil Kitty’s winding catwalk, Dottie’s Delights
pin-up shoot, and Kristin Hassan’s classic, but playful fall fashion
show. Weekly trunk shows featuring Nonnie Threads, Nora del Busto,
Zamrie, Anna Hovet, Agga B, and Alidade were also exciting events for the temporary CFI shop. Customers enjoyed interacting with the native
designers about anything from technical fit advice to curious
questions about the intensive CFI program. - Shelby Steiner
