FULTON MARKET—Grant Achatz's new restaurant, Next, opened on Wednesday. Eater enjoyed a preview dinner a few days before and has a photo gallery of the entire meal. Want to dine there? Dinner is 60 percent booked through June.
EVERYWHERE—Davanti Enoteca, Arami and Chizakaya were added to the Eater 38, a list of essential restaurants in Chicago.
OLD TOWN—Mama Milano Pizza Bar, from the family behind the former Papa Milano, will open next door to 33 Club, which caused rumors to fly that the latter was closing.
LINCOLN PARK—Kith & Kin will host a benefit on Monday to raise money for chef Derek Crumpton, who passed away in February.
RIVER NORTH—The Doughnut Vault is officially open in a pocket of a space attached to Gilt Bar.
WEST LOOP—After Girl & The Goat was nominated for a James Beard Award for best new restaurant, Stephanie Izard was named by Food & Wine as a best new chef for 2011.
