Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

For all of us who are concerned with the beauty of the world and are interested in celebrating the design visionaries who encourage the cycle, keep this in mind for NeoCon on June 14th: Patricia Urquiola will be speaking at the MCA Theater on her groundbreaking work for B&B Italia and the design philosophy she practices in Milan. The lecture is the highlights of the NeoCon festivities sponsored by Luminaire. Urquiola has been the recipient of numerous accolades including those from ADI Design Index, the International Design Yearbook, the IMM Cologne Award, Good Design Awards from the Chicago Athenaeum, the Red Dot Award and the Elle Decoration International Awards. Additionally, several of Urquiola’s designs are in the permanent collection of New York’s MoMA. RSVP Here [Racked Inbox]
