A really nifty new Chicago-based online venture we found a few months ago is about to announce its presence to the world: Hipmum. Owner Julie McBroom started Hipmum in efforts to connect stylish young moms and provide a platform for communication between them as well as an online marketplace. Hipmum was developed for the strong, unflappable, unique-to-each-of-us spirit that can get buried in the day-to-day grind of motherhood.
Tomorrow at Sugarcup Trading, a colorful Oak Park children's store, Julie, Marc Gold from 100 Friends and their entourage invite all like-minded people to celebrate the Launch of Hipmum. There will be cocktails, giveaways, an incredable bunch of women and an opportunity to make a direct impact on women and children in need.
Sugarcup Trading is store that acts as a perfect lifestyle extension to Hipmum's mission: Learning to share, learning to recycle and trade and learning the values of sustainability at a young age. The ages of Sugarcup Trading's clientele range from newborn to tween and stocks brands like Lego, American Girl, Abercrombie and Gap in the pre-loved category and Kicky Pants, Lunchskins, Ecojot and Ergo Pouch in the new but responsible category.
