Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Earlier today a Racked Tipster sent us these blurry photos of a standard white piece of paper with a message citing closure for "Refizzle". We speculate that the font may have be Times New Roman and the posted sign was affixed to the door sometime between 8pm last night and 10am today when the Water Tower Place mall opened.
Lush cosmetics has been known for years for their packaging and branding. Up until now the store fixtures have been on the clunky farmhouse side and as alluded to in the tip we received may be becoming a little more sleek in keeping with the new multi-million dollar Macy's cosmetics department remodel.
We wonder if there are any other sleek storefronts in trendy Chicago shopping districts that will be getting a refizzle in the near future?
