May We Introduce Bonnie Alayne

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Bonnie Alayne creates a fairytale-come-true with her elaborate special
occasion designs. Alayne states, “My design process truly starts from
a romantic world that I put everything against.” The mythical world
she portrayed is obvious from her most recent fashion show featuring
extravagant ball gowns and eye-catching antler crowns. After her recent jaunt to Sweden, Alayne became inspired by the
freezing weather, architecture, and the combination of old and new for
her collection. Final fabrications were the most important aspect of
her collection, which included various wools, French tapestry fabric,
and soft cotton laces. In the coming years Bonnie Alayne will open her
own custom-made bridal gown boutique. -Shelby Steiner
