Building on yesterday's sneak peek into the F/W 2011 collections of Topshop and Topman, we give you this powerful buckled gem which is most definitely is made for ass-kicking. Behind it sits a deep emerald velvet pump laced at the top with ribbon.
Out of Topshop's F/W 2011 four lines our next nod of approval goes to 'Glamrock' which hasn't even been shown to the press in Topshop/ Topman's hometown, London. Yesterday our minds were all over the luscious crush of velvet that finds itself interspersed in the line. 'Glamrock' draws inspiration from the 1970s dismissing any grunge from the decade for an all-out glamorous and rockstar look. Faux fur is key to this trend and the bigger and brighter the better; an oversized shaggy coat made of goat hair comes in a jarring fluorescent pink, a sleek faux fur stole in deep amethyst has extravagant pompoms and a mini skirt comes in amber feathers. Footwear and accessories are flamboyant with stack heeled ankle boots covered in silver glitter and oxblood velvet clutch bags with gold jacquard panels. Shades of emerald and magenta are integrated into the line with shimmering gold and silvers make up a jewelry box palette. Lead Topshop designers agree that there is only one word you must know for F/W 2011: Velvet.
