Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago fashion department started
the morning off with remarkable collections from sophomore to senior
status students. The conceptual design process was vivid for each
designer. From metallic menswear to frightening doll masked models,
there wasn’t a dull moment. Models consecutively entered the runway in
a timely fashion without stopping at the end of the platform.
The formal event takes place tonight at 6p.m. at Millennium Park.
Announcements of the Eunice W. Johnson and Swarovski Scholarships will
be awarded promptly before the show. Check back for more coverage of
the red carpet and favorite collections throughout the evening. -Shelby Steiner
