Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Hopefully you had a good weekend - we know we did at Midsommarfest on Saturday and our favorite, The Chicago Blues Fest on Sunday. There were so many blues-y people jammin' in Grant Park to tunes by Roger Connelley, Bonnie Lee and Chuck Berry. Inside the festival, there were many new and forward thinking vendors which helped The Blues Fest gain a hefty commercial foothold in the summer fest rankings.
One of the best new vendors included one we thought would be pretty stellar; The Essie Pop Up where we, like other Blues Fest attendees got our nails did. The all white, lounge-like tent was a place where girls could just hang out and talk shop before heading back to the stages. The colors that stole the show were (as we expected) the Braziliant Collection.
Maybe you saw on her twitter, Giuliana Rancic was also there to get her nails spiffed up for hubby, Bill. Speaking of Bill, check out Giuliana's sparkling wedding band in one of these close-ip photos taken by Sara Jaye Weiss.
Though we didn't sit next to Giuliana in the Essie Pop Up so we don't know what color she used we think she chose the line's namesake shade; Braziliant. Your loyal Racked reporters on the other hand got Super Bossa Nova, a spicy upbeat bright fuchsia.
