Urban Mischief to Extend A-ville Aesthetic With More Sex Appeal

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We just got word that a new home furnishings and lifestyle boutique will be taking over the space next door to the now vacant furniture and lifestyle boutique Patina. This new kid on the block will be named Urban Mischief and plans on opening in August. Urban Mischief will offer vintage furniture, accessories and lifestyle goods while also dedicating a portion of space to a mysterious shop in shop.

We expect the boutique to blend products for both men and women, the home and individual in a unique, sexy way that is a perpetuation of the Andersonville Aesthetic. The mysterious shop in shop from what Owner (and Madam) Shelly Elfstrom tells us the shop will be something like a playground for adults selling things like sexy unmentionables and swings for your "play room". She describes the space as a constantly changing, always evolving concept where more provocative, always conversation worthy and often body focused items will be sold.
