Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
At 11:00 AM CST today, We'll be tuning into the Stylecaster to see our hometown hero, Cynthia Rowley's new Resort 2012 collection live. This viewing, which will run until 1:00 PM CST is the first ever of its kind which is a lookbook created using stop-animation techniques by digital artists Reed & Radar, Josh Smith, and the Brant Foundation. Josh Smith's work has been mopst recently seen in the Venice Biennale and currently on the cover of Art Forum magazine.
The collection will premiere on a loop so that the all members of the community regardless of status can view the collection at the same time. Rowley feels the process of fashion presentation should be as democratic and accessible as possible. The exclusive (but accessible) Resort 2012 collection can be seen here. [Racked Inbox]
