According to a Racked Tipster, last night between 11:00PM and 3:00AM four escalators were delivered on separate flatbed sixteen-wheelers to the Topshop / Topman construction site. Although the details are sketchy we believe the stair treads are 40" wide with a finish of stainless steel and moves at a maximum speed of up to 120 feet per minute. The escalators were installed by Schindler out of Elmhurst. You'll be happy to know that the average Schindler escalator is rated a Class B on energy efficiency on a rating system of A through G (G being the least efficient).
