Haute Los Angeles-based sunglass boutique, Oliver Peoples opened on Saturday morning on Rush just south of Oak and according to the manager of the shop, business has been brisk. Although we're told they are still "ironing out the kinks" we haven't picked up on anything about the shop that is unfinished. Well, there is a small lip of concrete around the edge of the interior pad of carpet, but thats it. The store features a grand facade, extra tall and LED mood-lit frame on the exterior. Inside, there are a few intimate consultation stations of custom built cabinetry. On the main feature support column there are two eye-level iPads where customers can check out the lifestyle and inspiration of Oliver Peoples including flipping through look books and listening to the Oliver Peoples seasonal soundtrack. Partner brand, which also happens to make the coolest frames around Mosley Tribes takes prominence on the south facing wall while Paul Smith Spectacles is smack dab in the middle of the east facing wall. The 2011 Resort Collection is merchandised right now and soon we expect Fall.
