The second annual Chicago International Poster Biennial takes place tonight at Harrington College of Design. From 6pm - 9pm at 200 W Madison nearly 180 designers from 23 countries will present the world's most contemporary posters to the watchful design culture. The show was juried by an international panel headed by Paula Scher. The 2010 gold medal goes to Stephan Bundi of Switzerland for his work; "Tartuffe". Tonight's event is free and there will be champagne, yes, you heard correctly, champagne. Let us assure you, the first International Poster Biennial, held two years ago at IIT's Crown Hall was a spectacular showing where the posters were turned into wearable dresses and worn by models. The 2010 catalogue will also be on sale while many designers will be on hand for signing. We can't wait to see what surprises await at the show.
