This past weekend at Pitchfork in Union Park, your loyal Racked reporters patiently waited near the artists corral for a chance to photograph Pitchfork's biggest female singer, Zola Jesus. Legal name Nika Danlova, this Russian-born musical whirlwind is known for her killer style and epic voice. Racked asked the question few music reporters ever do: what's that on your feet? Her answer? You'll love it.
The answer is a pair of rubber shoes from Brazilian footwear manufacturer Melissa. The limited-edition style is the result of a collaboration with contemporary furniture designer and artist Gaetano Pesce. Melissa has been in the news lately for a stellar designer collaboration even the First Lady could love: Jason Wu. - Amy Creyer
