Ann Arbor-based Borders Books and Music has announced it is preparing to sit in front of bankruptcy court on Thursday to ask for permission to liquidate.
If this all goes through, the Chicago stores could start liquidating inventory similar to what we saw at the Borders location on Michigan Ave where Topshop is being built. The court appearance is scheduled for Thursday and the sale could start as early as Friday.
