Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Earlier this year, we brought you a recap of what oddities and curiosities we found at the 11th annual SAIC art sale in the Maclean Center. One of the lovely people we found was Mikey Anderson a youngster who makes creatures out of yarn, one of such creatures was a silvery three-eyed goat. Then we brought to your attention that VMAN was to take the goat and shoot it in one of their upcoming issues. Well, its here and we've got some screen shots for you - but may we warn you its far more effective if you go to the site and watch the shoot as it has been animated.
Photographed by Pamela Reed and Matthew Rader and styled by Aki Maesato, this VMAN shoot pulls together ten of the best collections for fall and placed the images in a continuous stop-motion animation. The wearables include items from Walter van Beirendonck, Rick Owens, Thom Browne, Band of Outsiders and Jil Sander and combines them into a difficult, but brilliant vision of the future.
