WEST LOOP—The owners of Veerasway dropped a bomb by announcing they had closed the modern Indian restaurant and that Grange Hall Farm Burger would open in its place.

ROSCOE VILLAGE—After more than five years, Terragusto will close at the end of this week. Chef Theo Gilbert plans to open a similar Italian restaurant in Bucktown in a month or so.

NAVY PIER—The annual Taste of the Nation dining event saw more than 1,500 people sample bites and drinks from about 100 chefs and mixologists, helping raise more than $250k for Share Our Strength. See the gallery of what went down.
